We\u2019d love you to seek them out and support them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Frow_Resource\"><\/span>Frow Resource<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/frowresource.org.uk\/\">Frow Resource<\/a> is a not-for-profit organisation created to support the community of Forest Row to reduce waste and grow a thriving circular economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We aim to use progressive recycling strategies to rethink our consumption. Our intention is to fill the gap left by the 2018 closure of the Forest Row tip by offering residents local options for managing unwanted materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our objectives include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creating a <strong>zero-waste community<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating <strong>local employment <\/strong>and apprenticeships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing financial <strong>support to local initiatives <\/strong>in the village<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to village <strong>retail and community life<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Raising awareness <\/strong>about waste and how we can collectively reduce it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>FrowResource wanted to take over the old Forest Row tip site and run it on behalf of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we were not able to do this, we stuck to our vision and opened the <strong>Second Life Community Shop <\/strong>as the first step towards our long-term plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We at Frow Resource are adding names all the time \u2013 please let us know if you think of any<br>other initiatives that could be included in our exciting network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We want to help more people get involved, both paid and volunteer positions, and increase our collective resilience.<br><br>If you would like to help you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>get to know FrowResource, Second Life, and our expanding network<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support us all where you can<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>share your ideas, imagination and creativity with us \u2013 perhaps you have thought of a local service or business that could use  support from our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frowresource.org.uk\/news\/items\/sponsorship-scheme\">Frow Resource Sponsorship Scheme<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>let us know about local waste issues and suggest solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reduce your own waste by refusing, reducing, reusing, repairing, repurposing, sharing, donating, giving away, recycling, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Second_Life\"><\/span><strong>Second <\/strong><strong>Life<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/secondlifefrow\">Second Life<\/a>, Forest Row\u2019s Community Shop, opened in June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2022. Eighteen months on, it has become a place where unwanted goods can be left, treasures and necessities can be bought, local artisans can acquire raw materials and profile their products, people can drop in to talk, ask questions, browse, have a laugh, and where anyone can join in and work for a few hours to sell, sort or tidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Life sells, gifts, repurposes, repairs, recycles and collaborates with local artists who reimagine and upcycle donations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone who has contributed to the creation of Second Life can be proud because it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>meets community need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creates employment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is a valued place to go in the village<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is a hub for other activities (inc. pop up shops, book club, volunteer socials)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Surplus funds are reinvested into the community through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frowresource.org.uk\/news\/items\/sponsorship-scheme\">Frow Resource Sponsorship Scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>44 metric tonnes of unwanted goods have been donated to Second Life so far \u2013<\/strong> <strong> that\u2019s equivalent to 4 double-decker buses!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Keep_it_in_Frow\"><\/span>Keep it in Frow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Keep It In Frow Network shares, repurposes, repairs, reimagines, grows and recycles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sharing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Second Life passes on donations that can\u2019t be sold to other community initiatives such as:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmy.org.uk\/east-grinstead-charity-shop\">East Grinstead Salvation Army<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furniturenow.org.uk\">Furniture Now<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baby2baby.co.uk\/\">Baby2baby and Beyond<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/knightsupport.org.uk\/\">Knight Support<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jam jar exchange, flower pot exchange and \u2018Free Shop\u2019 at the back of Second Life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3
