SUMMARY:The Shed at Forest Row
DESCRIPTION:The Shed at Forest Row is a thriving hub for people of all ages to get together in a creative\, safe environment to build and repair things\, assist other residents\, and form new connections and friendships. \n\n\n\nWhat is The Shed at Forest Row?\n\n\n\nWe are a community workshop\, inspired by the Men’s Shed movement\, which started in Australia in the 1990s.  \n\n\n\nThose grassroots sheds were set up as woodworking workshops\, but also as a place for people to connect with others. The Shed concept offers people the opportunity to ‘potter’ much as they would in their own garden shed – but the difference is that they would not be alone.  \n\n\n\nThe ability for people to share their skills\, learn from others\, undertake small and not so small projects in the company of others is central to the philosophy of the Shed movement.  \n\n\n\nThe idea is to combat loneliness and to offer a space to chat and boost mental health\, whilst also giving attendees the opportunity to repair / upcycle / make things for the community or themselves.  \n\n\n\nThe Shed at Forest Row is open to all aged 18 and over\, not just men.  \n\n\n\nOur initial focus is on woodwork\, but we also want to have other crafts onsite\, such as knitting and crochet. We are in the process of registering The Shed at Forest Row as a charity. \n\n\n\nThe idea has spread and\, according to the UK Mens Shed Association\, there are now over 400 shed projects up and running in the UK. \n\n\n\nOur Shed in Forest Row works in tandem with other well-established initiatives in the village including the Repair Café\, the VENUe on the Green\, FRow Resource and the Second Life community shop. \n\n\n\nWhere?\n\n\n\nThe Shed at Forest Row is located just behind the Community Centre on Hartfield Road\, Forest Row\, RH18 5DZ. \n\n\n\nWhen?\n\n\n\nWe launched in Spring 2025\, and currently host two sessions a week: \n\n\n\n10am – 2pm Wednesday \n\n\n\n10am – 2pm Saturday \n\n\n\nWe hope to add more sessions once we’re more established. \n\n\n\nHow much does The Shed at Forest Row cost?\n\n\n\nThe first three taster sessions are free. After that\, we ask for a £3 contribution per session (which includes all hot drinks and biscuits)\, or you can become a member at £35 a year. \n\n\n\nWe wish we didn’t have to charge\, but we have all sorts of overheads (rent\, utilities\, woodwork supplies\, safety equipment and training).  \n\n\n\nWe are applying for grants\, but we also need an ongoing revenue stream to make it viable. \n\n\n\nHow can you join?\n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming to the Shed to make/repair your own projects\, or join ours\, or just hang out\, please send us an email or a DM. We can send you our membership form. theshedforestrow@gmail.com \n\n\n\nHow can you help?\n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS: We’re always open to volunteers with craft skills who would be happy to facilitate sessions. Please email if you’re interested. \n\n\n\nTOOLS: We would very much welcome donations of good-quality tools that you don’t need any more. Please email if you would like to donate anything. \n\n\n\ntheshedforestrow@gmail.com \n\n\n\nWho’s behind The Shed at Forest Row?\n\n\n\nOur committee comprises Tony Lewin (chair)\, Alex Waters (treasurer)\, Helen Munro (secretary)\, Kevin Brockbank (health & safety officer)\,Liz Brockbank (accountancy)  session leaders David Loveday and Neil Woolley\, and Christine Luke (membership secretary). \n\n\n\nJoin The Shed at Forest Row\n\n\n\nKnow someone that would like to be part of The Shed? If you would like to become part of the team to help build\, manage or support this exciting initiative\, or if you’d like to become a Shed member\, please register your interest at theshedforestrow@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Good Vibrations Society Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:Good Vibrations Society Festival 2026 is a weekend of music\, wellbeing and ecology in the Ashdown Forest. Buy Good Vibrations Tickets here. \n\n\n\n31 July – 2 August 2026 | Pippingford Park\, Nutley\, East Sussex \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNow in its sixth year\, the Good Vibrations Society Festival returns to the enchanting surroundings of Pippingford Park for what promises to be its most vibrant gathering yet. Set within the private grounds of a working estate on the edge of the Ashdown Forest\, this three-day celebration of music\, ecology and wellbeing has grown into one of the South East’s most beloved independent festivals\, and 2026 looks set to raise the bar even further. \n\n\n\nDrawing together a diverse community of music lovers\, families\, wellness seekers and nature enthusiasts from across the region and beyond\, Good Vibrations Society has quietly established itself as something genuinely special: a festival that takes its values as seriously as its line-up\, and where the setting is as much a part of the experience as anything happening on stage. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe setting\n\n\n\nPippingford Park is a privately managed estate in Nutley\, East Sussex\, sitting within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and bordered by the ancient expanse of the Ashdown Forest. The festival occupies a carefully curated corner of the estate\, with woodland clearings\, open grassy fields and hilltop views across one of the most unspoilt landscapes in the South East. \n\n\n\nIt’s a setting that defines everything Good Vibrations Society stands for. The off-grid atmosphere\, the birdsong between sets\, the way the forest feels genuinely alive around you. The site has been thoughtfully designed to feel intimate and connected to the natural world\, making it ideal not just for music but for the workshops\, wellness activities and quieter reflective moments that give the festival its distinctive character. \n\n\n\nFor local residents across East Sussex and the surrounding area\, this is a rare opportunity to experience a world-class festival programme without travelling far from home — and in a landscape many will already know and love. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect across the Good Vibrations Society festival weekend\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society is deliberately programmed to offer something for everyone\, whatever you’re looking for from a festival weekend. The music is the headline draw\, but it sits alongside an equally rich programme of wellness\, ecology\, talks\, workshops and family activities — all of which are included in the ticket price. \n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\nThe 2026 line-up has already generated considerable excitement\, with a first wave of artists announced that spans reggae\, drum and bass\, electronic\, afrobeat\, jazz funk and classic pop. Many more acts are still to be revealed\, so the bill will continue to fill out in the weeks and months ahead. \n\n\n\nFriday 31 July opens the festival with the irresistible bass-heavy reggae of Gentleman’s Dub Club\, one of the UK’s most enduringly popular live acts in the genre. Joining them are legendary drum and bass duo Fabio and Grooverider\, whose influence on British music culture spans three decades\, and the leftfield\, soulful sounds of Zed Bias feat. Specialist Moss. \n\n\n\nSaturday 1 August brings the headline fireworks. Electronic pioneers Orbital top the bill — a band whose festival performances have become the stuff of legend — joined by reggae icon Hollie Cook\, the infectious West African grooves of London Afrobeat Collective\, and the jazzy\, laid-back funk of Ebi Soda. \n\n\n\nSunday 2 August closes the weekend on a euphoric note\, with nostalgic pop royalty Bay City Rollers guaranteed to get the whole field singing\, alongside Sam Wills and Olympia Vitalis. \n\n\n\nFurther artists across all three days are still to be announced\, so keep an eye on the official website and social media channels for updates. \n\n\n\nYoga\, movement and meditation\n\n\n\nFree yoga and movement sessions run throughout the weekend\, catering to all experience levels. Whether you’re a committed daily practitioner or someone who’s never rolled out a mat before\, these sessions offer a genuinely restorative counterpoint to the music programme — and there’s something particularly special about practising outdoors\, in the forest air\, as the day gets going. \n\n\n\nTalks and workshops\n\n\n\nA varied programme of talks and workshops explores themes of ecology\, community\, creativity and wellbeing. These sessions are included in the ticket price and are open to all attendees\, making them an accessible and enriching part of the weekend for curious minds of all ages. \n\n\n\nThe wild spa\n\n\n\nFor those looking to treat themselves\, the wild spa offers a more indulgent way to unwind. Spa and massage upgrades are available to book in advance\, providing a moment of genuine luxury within the festival’s natural surroundings. \n\n\n\nActivities for children and families\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society prides itself on being a genuinely family-friendly festival. The dedicated children’s area is packed with creative activities\, and the wider festival environment provides an extraordinary playground for younger visitors. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 25 or over at all times\, and the organisers recommend fitting younger children with a wristband displaying contact information\, just in case they get separated. \n\n\n\nFood\, drink and independent shopping\n\n\n\nThe food and drink offer is still being finalised\, but the organisers have committed to catering for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. Expect a curated selection of independent traders rather than the identikit catering that blights so many larger events. A full line-up of food vendors will be announced closer to the festival. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society Tickets\n\n\n\nThird-release weekend camping tickets are now on sale\, with early bird and second-release allocations already sold out a strong indication of how much demand there is for this festival. A fourth and final release will follow\, so if you’re considering going\, it’s worth securing your place sooner rather than later. \n\n\n\nWeekend camping tickets (includes free camping\, talks\, workshops\, yoga and kids’ area): \n\n\n\n\nAdult (18+): £180 + booking fee\n\n\n\nUnder 18 (5–17): £110 + booking fee\n\n\n\nUnder 5s: £7 + booking fee\n\n\n\nFamily bundle (2 adults + 2 under 18s): £499 + booking fee\n\n\n\n\nDay tickets are available for those who can’t make the full weekend\, though it’s worth noting that day ticket holders are not permitted to camp or access the camping area. \n\n\n\nPayment plans are available for weekend tickets\, making it easier to spread the cost. Booking fees contribute to ticketing\, wristband production\, gate operations and customer service. \n\n\n\nAll tickets are delivered as e-tickets by email. On arrival\, your ticket is scanned and exchanged for a wristband\, which then serves as your pass for the remainder of the event. \n\n\n\nUpgrades and extras available at the time of booking include: \n\n\n\n\nOn-site parking\n\n\n\nCaravan/motorhome/RV pitches (with or without power hookup)\n\n\n\nGlamping (including pre-pitched tents)\n\n\n\nSpa and massage packages\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting to Good Vibrations Society\n\n\n\nThe festival takes place at Pippingford Park Manor\, Nutley\, Uckfield\, TN22 3HW\, with the site entrance on the A22. \n\n\n\nBy car: The site entrance is clearly signed on the A22. Paid parking is available on site\, a short walk from the campsite. Note that if you leave site and return to your car during the weekend\, you will be subject to a search on re-entry. \n\n\n\nBy train: The nearest stations are East Grinstead (approximately 15 minutes by taxi) and Haywards Heath (approximately 25 minutes by taxi). East Grinstead is served by the Victoria to East Grinstead line\, with trains running every half hour and a journey time of around 55 minutes from Victoria. Haywards Heath is served by both the Bedford to Brighton and Victoria to Brighton lines. All taxis should be pre-booked. \n\n\n\nBy bus: The nearest bus stop is at Wych Cross\, approximately 1.5 miles from the site\, served by the 261 (East Grinstead to Uckfield) and 270 (East Grinstead to Brighton) routes. Drivers on the 261 may stop outside the Pippingford entrance on the A22 by special request. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamping and practicalities\n\n\n\nWeekend ticket holders are welcome to bring their own camping equipment. The campsite includes warm showers\, drinking water\, toilets and an on-site supplies shop\, so you won’t be roughing it entirely. \n\n\n\nCaravans and motorhomes are welcome but must be booked in advance via the ticketing page. Any converted vehicle must have purpose-built\, permanent sleeping facilities — a foam mattress in a rented van won’t meet the criteria. \n\n\n\nGas cookers are permitted in the main campsite (canister size up to 3.9kg). BBQs are allowed only in designated areas. \n\n\n\nEach adult weekend ticket holder may bring a reasonable personal alcohol allowance — 12 cans of beer\, lager or cider; or 12 x 250ml cans of pre-mixed spirit and mixer; or 75cl of spirits in a non-glass container; or 2.25 litres of wine decanted into a non-glass container. Day ticket holders are not permitted to bring alcohol on site. \n\n\n\nAll attendees are searched on entry. Dogs and other pets are not permitted (assistance dogs excepted). \n\n\n\nWristband exchange is open noon–8:30pm on Friday\, and 9am–8:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please plan your arrival accordingly. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society is committed to making the festival as accessible as possible. Provision for 2026 includes: \n\n\n\n\nDedicated accessible parking approximately 30 metres from the entrance\n\n\n\nFree essential companion tickets\n\n\n\nAccessible camping near the campsite entrance\, including an accessible toilet\n\n\n\nA natural ridge providing an elevated view of the main stage\n\n\n\nPlease note that the festival takes place on wild countryside terrain\, which may include uneven or unmade ground\n\n\n\n\nFor specific accessibility requirements or queries\, contact the team directly at accessibility@goodvibrationssociety.com. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets and further information\n\n\n\nTickets are available exclusively through the official website at goodvibrationssociety.com.

All levels welcome. \n\n\n\nThese classes are an opportunity to gather with others in a welcoming space. \n\n\n\nWe move\, breathe\, centre ourselves and track the sensations that the body uses to communicate its aliveness. \n\n\n\nA life affirming ritual that combines challenge with surrender.
