SUMMARY:UBUNTU Celebrating Africa ~ Charity Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Exceptional live music & multimedia by top African artists to move body & soul\, in aid of Enthum Foundation (UK) and Haskey Project (Ghana)\n\n\nUBUNTU ~ Celebrating Africa\nJoin us for an amazing evening of exceptional live music performance and multi-media presentation featuring composer\, poet and activist EUGENE SKEEF\, kora maestro ANSUMANA SUSO accompanied by KIENOU SEYDOU on percussion and JOON HO on keyboard\, as well as Afro Groove DJ MANELLO FUNKIKORA\, to honour the vibrant spirit of Africa! – UBUNTU is unity\, culture\, connection and good vibes\, to move body and soul\, open your heart as we celebrate the beauty and diversity of the continent. Don’t miss out on this unique chance to feel the pulse of Africa with friends and new faces alike\, while supporting two important social causes. \nEUGENE SKEEF is a world-renowned\, multi-faceted South African percussionist\, composer\, poet and educationalist\, who was recently appointed as a Professor of Practice at the University of Johannesburg’s Centre for Education Rights and Transformation. His professional journey is deeply rooted in his history as a young activist working alongside anti-apartheid visionary Steve Biko\, during which he co-led a nation-wide literacy campaign that reached schools\, colleges\, and communities across South Africa. \nBased in London since 1980\, Eugene has built a prolific career as a workshop leader\, broadcaster\, and consultant on cultural development. In 2003\, he established Umoya Creations\, a charity designed to facilitate his international work in conflict resolution and creative leadership. His significant contributions to the UK’s cultural landscape include serving on the board of the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) and being named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was also the musician in residence at the Purcell School of Music and served on the advisory committee for the ABRSM’s Sound Junction project. \nEugene’s artistic achievements are prestigious and diverse. In 2005\, he performed with his Abantu Ensemble at Buckingham Palace for the Queen and in 2008 his orchestral commission Excite! premiered at the Royal Festival Hall. His collaborative work The Battle Of The Wordsmiths was also shortlisted for the PRS New Music Award in 2010. \nCurrently\, Eugene serves as the Artistic Director of Quartet of Peace\, an international initiative by South African luthier Brian Lisus\, using music to promote peaceful resolutions to conflict and poverty\, particularly among youth\, while honouring South Africa’s four Nobel peace laureates Dr. Albert Luthuli\, Nelson Mandela\, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and FW de Klerk. As Eugene prepares for a permanent return to the country of his birth\, he aims to contribute his extensive skills to the ongoing vision of a democratically cohesive South Africa.https://eugeneskeefrhythmforlife.wordpress.com/https://eugeneskeef.com/ https://twitter.com/eugeneskeefhttps://www.instagram.com/eugeneskeef/http://www.facebook.com/eugene.skeef \nANSUMANA SUSO is a virtuoso kora maestro\, multi-instrumentalist\, composer and producer\, born in The Gambia\, a nation celebrated for its deep cultural and musical traditions. From his earliest years\, his home was filled with the resonant sounds of the Kora\, Balafon\, and Djembe\, creating a rhythmic foundation that would define his life’s work. His griot family played a crucial role in nurturing this passion\, allowing him to explore ancestral instruments from a young age. \nHe began his formal musical journey with the balafon\, an instrument he learned to play as naturally as walking because it was always present in his household. In 2009\, a significant milestone occurred when his mother gifted him a Kora. The moment he touched the strings\, he felt an “indescribable connection” that set his career in motion. Since then\, he has mastered various other instruments\, including the guitar\, drums\, and djembe\, each adding layers to his soulful musical identity. \nAnsumana’s talent quickly made him a prominent fixture of the Gambian music scene\, where he became known for his vibrant energy and ability to blend traditional African music with modern styles. His reputation eventually crossed borders\, leading to performances at prestigious global festivals such as Glastonbury\, WOMAD\, and Shambala. He has also collaborated with major hip-hop artists\, showcasing the beauty of African sounds in a contemporary context. \nDriven by a desire for innovation\, Ansumana relocated to the United Kingdom to engage with its diverse\, multicultural music community. Through jam sessions and collaborations with artists from various backgrounds\, he continues to push the boundaries of his craft. Ansumana views music as a universal language capable of bridging cultures. He remains dedicated to honouring his West African roots while exploring new sounds\, inviting the world to join him on his extraordinary soulful journey. https://www.ansukora.com/home https://www.facebook.com/ansumana.suso.77/ \nENTHUM FOUNDATION (UK) provide unaccompanied young people seeking asylum with a safe home and prepare them for independent life in the UK\, aiming to empower each young person by building on their resilience and the reconciliation of their trauma. https://enthum-foundation.raiselysite.com/ \nHASKEY-PROJECT (GHANA) aims to contribute to a Ghanaian society where people with special challenges are included as anyone else and are seen as equal and respected members of their communities. https://www.haskey-projekt.de/english/

Our main goal is to uplift each other and find joy in the process\, not to perform perfectly. \n\n\n\nRefreshment Break: We always make time for a little break\, allowing you to relax\, chat with fellow mamas\, and enjoy some refreshments. \n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\n\nInclusive Environment: Being part of a group where everyone is welcome\, regardless of singing ability or experience\, boosts confidence and self-worth. \n\n\n\nEmotional Boost: Singing has been shown to release ‘happy hormones’\, acting as a natural mood enhancer. \n\n\n\nStress Reduction: The act of singing\, especially in a group\, can help soothe the nervous system and decrease levels of stress. \n\n\n\nEnhanced Connection: It’s not just about the songs. It’s about forging meaningful connections with fellow mamas\, providing a sense of community and belonging. \n\n\n\nCognitive Stimulation: Learning new songs and harmonies stimulates cognitive functions\, keeping the mind sharp and engaged. \n\n\n\nPhysical Well-being: Singing involves deep breathing and good posture\, which can help in reducing muscle tension and promoting physical well-being.

SUMMARY:Good Vibrations Society Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:Good Vibrations Society Festival 2026 is a weekend of music\, wellbeing and ecology in the Ashdown Forest. Buy Good Vibrations Tickets here. \n\n\n\n31 July – 2 August 2026 | Pippingford Park\, Nutley\, East Sussex \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNow in its sixth year\, the Good Vibrations Society Festival returns to the enchanting surroundings of Pippingford Park for what promises to be its most vibrant gathering yet. Set within the private grounds of a working estate on the edge of the Ashdown Forest\, this three-day celebration of music\, ecology and wellbeing has grown into one of the South East’s most beloved independent festivals\, and 2026 looks set to raise the bar even further. \n\n\n\nDrawing together a diverse community of music lovers\, families\, wellness seekers and nature enthusiasts from across the region and beyond\, Good Vibrations Society has quietly established itself as something genuinely special: a festival that takes its values as seriously as its line-up\, and where the setting is as much a part of the experience as anything happening on stage. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe setting\n\n\n\nPippingford Park is a privately managed estate in Nutley\, East Sussex\, sitting within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and bordered by the ancient expanse of the Ashdown Forest. The festival occupies a carefully curated corner of the estate\, with woodland clearings\, open grassy fields and hilltop views across one of the most unspoilt landscapes in the South East. \n\n\n\nIt’s a setting that defines everything Good Vibrations Society stands for. The off-grid atmosphere\, the birdsong between sets\, the way the forest feels genuinely alive around you. The site has been thoughtfully designed to feel intimate and connected to the natural world\, making it ideal not just for music but for the workshops\, wellness activities and quieter reflective moments that give the festival its distinctive character. \n\n\n\nFor local residents across East Sussex and the surrounding area\, this is a rare opportunity to experience a world-class festival programme without travelling far from home — and in a landscape many will already know and love. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect across the Good Vibrations Society festival weekend\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society is deliberately programmed to offer something for everyone\, whatever you’re looking for from a festival weekend. The music is the headline draw\, but it sits alongside an equally rich programme of wellness\, ecology\, talks\, workshops and family activities — all of which are included in the ticket price. \n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\nThe 2026 line-up has already generated considerable excitement\, with a first wave of artists announced that spans reggae\, drum and bass\, electronic\, afrobeat\, jazz funk and classic pop. Many more acts are still to be revealed\, so the bill will continue to fill out in the weeks and months ahead. \n\n\n\nFriday 31 July opens the festival with the irresistible bass-heavy reggae of Gentleman’s Dub Club\, one of the UK’s most enduringly popular live acts in the genre. Joining them are legendary drum and bass duo Fabio and Grooverider\, whose influence on British music culture spans three decades\, and the leftfield\, soulful sounds of Zed Bias feat. Specialist Moss. \n\n\n\nSaturday 1 August brings the headline fireworks. Electronic pioneers Orbital top the bill — a band whose festival performances have become the stuff of legend — joined by reggae icon Hollie Cook\, the infectious West African grooves of London Afrobeat Collective\, and the jazzy\, laid-back funk of Ebi Soda. \n\n\n\nSunday 2 August closes the weekend on a euphoric note\, with nostalgic pop royalty Bay City Rollers guaranteed to get the whole field singing\, alongside Sam Wills and Olympia Vitalis. \n\n\n\nFurther artists across all three days are still to be announced\, so keep an eye on the official website and social media channels for updates. \n\n\n\nYoga\, movement and meditation\n\n\n\nFree yoga and movement sessions run throughout the weekend\, catering to all experience levels. Whether you’re a committed daily practitioner or someone who’s never rolled out a mat before\, these sessions offer a genuinely restorative counterpoint to the music programme — and there’s something particularly special about practising outdoors\, in the forest air\, as the day gets going. \n\n\n\nTalks and workshops\n\n\n\nA varied programme of talks and workshops explores themes of ecology\, community\, creativity and wellbeing. These sessions are included in the ticket price and are open to all attendees\, making them an accessible and enriching part of the weekend for curious minds of all ages. \n\n\n\nThe wild spa\n\n\n\nFor those looking to treat themselves\, the wild spa offers a more indulgent way to unwind. Spa and massage upgrades are available to book in advance\, providing a moment of genuine luxury within the festival’s natural surroundings. \n\n\n\nActivities for children and families\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society prides itself on being a genuinely family-friendly festival. The dedicated children’s area is packed with creative activities\, and the wider festival environment provides an extraordinary playground for younger visitors. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult aged 25 or over at all times\, and the organisers recommend fitting younger children with a wristband displaying contact information\, just in case they get separated. \n\n\n\nFood\, drink and independent shopping\n\n\n\nThe food and drink offer is still being finalised\, but the organisers have committed to catering for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. Expect a curated selection of independent traders rather than the identikit catering that blights so many larger events. A full line-up of food vendors will be announced closer to the festival. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGood Vibrations Society Tickets\n\n\n\nThird-release weekend camping tickets are now on sale\, with early bird and second-release allocations already sold out a strong indication of how much demand there is for this festival. A fourth and final release will follow\, so if you’re considering going\, it’s worth securing your place sooner rather than later. \n\n\n\nWeekend camping tickets (includes free camping\, talks\, workshops\, yoga and kids’ area): \n\n\n\n\nAdult (18+): £180 + booking fee\n\n\n\nUnder 18 (5–17): £110 + booking fee\n\n\n\nUnder 5s: £7 + booking fee\n\n\n\nFamily bundle (2 adults + 2 under 18s): £499 + booking fee\n\n\n\n\nDay tickets are available for those who can’t make the full weekend\, though it’s worth noting that day ticket holders are not permitted to camp or access the camping area. \n\n\n\nPayment plans are available for weekend tickets\, making it easier to spread the cost. Booking fees contribute to ticketing\, wristband production\, gate operations and customer service. \n\n\n\nAll tickets are delivered as e-tickets by email. On arrival\, your ticket is scanned and exchanged for a wristband\, which then serves as your pass for the remainder of the event. \n\n\n\nUpgrades and extras available at the time of booking include: \n\n\n\n\nOn-site parking\n\n\n\nCaravan/motorhome/RV pitches (with or without power hookup)\n\n\n\nGlamping (including pre-pitched tents)\n\n\n\nSpa and massage packages\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting to Good Vibrations Society\n\n\n\nThe festival takes place at Pippingford Park Manor\, Nutley\, Uckfield\, TN22 3HW\, with the site entrance on the A22. \n\n\n\nBy car: The site entrance is clearly signed on the A22.
